Eat My Shorts - Privacy Policy

Eat My Shorts (EMS) is a short film competition run by Newcastle Community Cinema (NCC). For details, see www.newcastlecinema.org/eatmyshorts

Your privacy and the security of your personal information are extremely important to us. This Policy explains what we do to keep secure any information obtained through our platform.   • Date of birth

The data we collect are essential to running the competition, and we will use them only for that purpose, with the following exceptions:

  • NCC will add entrants to our email marketing list, to inform them of our screenings and other competitions - you may unsubscribe at any time.

  • The winners’ names, ages and film details will be published in local press and national press, and they may be asked for comments by those publications.

  • The winners’ names, ages and film details will be used in promotional literature for the NCC, and they may be asked for comments on their experience.

  • The winners’ names, ages and film details will be shared with Fibrus, the competition sponsors, who will use them for promotional purposes, and they may be asked for comments on their experience.

We will share your data only as mentioned above; we will not sell on your personal data or pass it on to any other party.

In addition, where you communicate with us via social media messaging platforms, the information is shared with the platform operator and their own data protection policies also apply. It is your responsibility to set appropriate privacy settings on your social network accounts so you are comfortable with how your information is used and shared on them.
