A Want In Her

In association with Docs Ireland, we present A Want in Her, an unflinching and deeply personal documentary from artist and filmmaker Myrid Carten. Returning from London after her mother disappears somewhere in Ireland, Carten begins a search that draws her into fractured family relationships, contested spaces and painful emotional truths. Told through an immersive first-person perspective, the film explores the complexities of love, dependency and inheritance within a turbulent mother-daughter relationship. Raw, intimate and emotionally challenging, A Want in Her is a powerful work of contemporary Irish documentary cinema.
